Summer Reading 2026: Plant A Seed, Read!
Plant a Seed, Read is rooted in the concept of farm-to-table. A farm grows food that nourishes our bodies, and a library grows ideas that nourish our minds. Whether you’re exploring a Farmer’s Market, getting your hands dirty while gardening, or whipping up a new recipe, food and stories connect us to our family, culture, economy, and ecology. How will you feed your brain (and body) this summer?
Read to Bead is Back!

Choose your family’s preferred method to track reading progress - whether it’s by hours, minutes, days, pages, chapters, or books read! Download your tracking sheet online or pick one up at the library. Once you’ve completed a challenge, bring your sheet to the library to redeem a token for our gumball machines! Our gumball machines give out beads so your child can create a unique summer reading necklace.
