When does the summer program start?
- You can track your reading on Beanstack from June 1 – September 3. Most of our events for this program will be held between July 5 and August 13. See our Event Calendar for details.
Why should I sign up for Beanstack?
- Beanstack is a website and app that allows you to track your reading and participate in fun reading challenges all year long including the summer reading program, winter reading program, 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten and more. By signing up for our summer reading program you’ll earn a discount coupon to Davis Farmland. (Limit one per person.) Physical Davis Farmland coupons can be picked up in the Children’s Room. You must bring the physical coupon with you to Davis Farmland to receive the discount.
Do I need to create an account for each of my children with separate login information for each?
- No, Beanstack allows families to register together.
Do I have to log my reading?
- No, if you want to complete just the activity badges you can just complete those.
Do I have to complete activities?
- No, if you want to just log your time spent reading you can do just that.
What age group is the summer program for?
- All ages can participate from birth through 109 years (if you’re older than 109 you can lie about your age 😉

Do I need to register to attend a program?
- Some programs do require pre-registration to participate. If a program requires registration there will be a link on our Event Calendar. Sign ups usually begin 2 weeks before the event.
Will you have the Davis Farmland discount coupons available this year?
- Yes. In order to be eligible to receive a discount coupon you MUST register for the Summer Program on Beanstack. You can pick up your coupon pass in the Children’s Room. Use must bring the physical copy of the coupon with you to Davis Farmland.
I’m a parent/caregiver and I read to/with my child or I helped them complete an activity. Can I log that for myself?
