Last Friday was the first anime club for teens at the library. We had two teens that were already well versed in anime and they had a good time. Once staff able to get CPR certified, they will be excited to bring various Japanese snacks to the events as well as other food related activities such as “make your own rice balls”. Monday Sarah S set up the LGBTQ+ Pride month Display and she is very excited to still have plenty of books in the collection to fill any gaps. Sarah also pulled books for the adult pride month nonfiction display upstairs next week. Tuesday was the first teen manga book club; we had teens join as well as others to get the book for next month. A display was also set up for Juneteenth. Teen Make Your Own Zine workshop date was finalized for July.
This week Heidi hosted the “Reads Well with Others” Book Discussion of the book Home to Woefield by Susan Juby. Heidi also answered reference questions, made library cards for people, facilitated the Trustees Meeting, planned programs and advertised library events.
