Youth Services
We limited the amount of programming we offered in September to allow families to adjust to a very different type of school year. We continued to offer passive program prompts via social media, but storytimes, books clubs, STEM programming, and more will resume in October.

On September 25, we held our very first virtual preschool outreach visit. We offered four sessions, two for onsite learners and two for remote learners. The input we received was positive and we look forward to continuing this important partnership with the schools.

This month we partnered with the Massachusetts Home Learning Association to provide a parent workshop. This program was originally scheduled for early September, but was rescheduled for later in the month.

Sixty six people registered for online reading programs, and 31 people participated, reading 421 books and earning 158 badges.

Adult Services

461 bags were picked up curbside.

475 reference questions were answered.

We held the following virtual book discussion groups via slack:
“Not Just for Young Adults” Book Discussion Group discussed A Blade So Black by L.L McKinney; the Daytimers Book Group discussed The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek by Kim Michele Richardson; the GPL Mystery Book Group discussed Murder at the 42nd Street Library by Con Lehane; the “Reads Well with Others” Adult Book Discussion Group discussed The Darwin Affair by Tim Mason; the “Inspirational Book Club” discussed So You Want to Talk About Race by Ijeoma Oluo. G.U.M. (Grafton Ukulele Musicians) Monthly Jam met virtually via Zoom.
