Construction Update: April 2018

Posted on

An contract with with D.A. Sullivan was approved at the April 3 Board of Selectman meeting for $172,000 for Owner’s Project Manager services. We anticipate that up to 50% will be reimbursed by the state from the $7.4 million dollar grant, as it’s an eligible, budgeted expense.

Andy Deschenes will provide Clerk of the Works services for $64,000 under Town of Grafton employ–there is no grant reimbursement for this cost, as town employees are an ineligible cost.

Congrats and welcome to Mark Sullivan, D.A. Sullivan and Andy Deschenes! Library Director Beth Gallaway says, “I am grateful for your commitment, expertise, and willingness to both work on and cooperate on this very exciting project!”

Next Steps: Go out to bid for an architect (per procurement law); develop a borrowing schedule, and scout a temporary location. We still anticipate breaking ground next spring, and opening our expanded, renovated facility at the end of 2020.
