Tutor.com Now Available

tutor.com logoIn response to multiple requests for tutoring help in a variety of subjects, the Grafton Public Library is pleased to offer access to Tutor.com, an online tutoring service for students of all ages. Any community member with a Grafton Public Library card can access the new online services from the library or right from home on any computer or mobile device connect to the Internet. The K-12 Student Center, College Center and Adult Career Center from Tutor.com includes live, one-to-one tutoring, a real-time writing center and 24/7 access to worksheets, videos and tutorials in just about any subject. The live, online tutoring and resume writing service is available daily from 2pm to 9pm. The service is completely free for our community. To access the service please visit the library’s website at www.tutor.com/grafton.

Nature Print Workshop for Tweens

Artist Theresa Monteith will teach you how to carve a relief plate, add texture, apply inks, and print. Each participant will make several relief prints in black and white and colored inks printed on colored paper before they will be mounted to white paper.

For ages 10-14. Please register for this program.

Fun in the Sun Party!!

Join the Grafton Public Library and the Grafton Recreation Dept for a town wide summer celebration!

Games! Pie Eating Contest, Inflatable Obstacle Course, Dunk Tank & more!

Music! Live music from local groups!

Food! BBQ ($), Cotton Candy & other treats! Mrs. Cones from Grafton Country Store’s Cones on the Common, will be handed out discounted ice cream coupons from 12-1pm.

Mark your calendars! Next Saturday, July 23 is Fun in the Sun; an all new free fun event put on by the Grafton Recreation Department and the Grafton Public Library. Located at Nelson Park from 11am-2pm, there will be a water slide, inflatable obstacle course, a moon bounce with a snow cone table, and carnival games from Crystal Entertainment Services Inc. There will also be pie-eating contests and relay races in which you can win tickets and along with the tickets you can win from the carnival games you can turn them in for prizes at the prize tent. The Big Splash will also be there; dare your friends to sit under the bucket of water and for a donation to the Friends of the Grafton Public Library, you can try to throw a ball to spill the bucket and get them soaked!

Local groups will also be there providing information and hosting activities such as the Boy Scouts with relay races, the Girl Scouts with a pinwheel-making table, youth football and lacrosse with ball throwing stations and possibly the Farmers Market with seed planting and more.
