Science Online

What is it for?
This database provides information and experiment ideas for topics relating to science. It can be used to search for articles, even though its focus at first seems like broad topics and experiments. The intended audience is middle and high school students.

How do I get to it?
1. Start at the Grafton Public Library homepage. Click Online and Digital Resources from the menu on the right.
2. Scroll down to "Science Online".
3. If you are in the library, click on Science Online.
4. If you are at work or home, from that page click the appropriate link and type in your library barcode number and click Go.

How does it work? Try it out!
Type PHOTOSYNTHESIS in the box and click Search. You will get a list of articles to view such as topics, images, and experiments. Click the title in order to see the text. Once you have the article on the screen, you can print it (printouts in the library are 10¢ per page) or email it for later use. If you email it, it should be in your mailbox within minutes.

Help
Help screens are available but are mainly for technical questions.
