Why leave college success to chance? Discover how to put your best foot forward as a college parent with success strategies from a college administrator. In this interactive workshop, you will learn how to best support your student during the year ahead and maximize college-to-career success. This program is open to parents of high school students as well as current college students.

Topics include:

  • Understanding your new role as a college parent
  • Preparing for changes in your college student
  • Identifying key campus resources and how to use them
  • Creating college-to-career success in today’s new market

About the presenter:

Michele Hearn is a veteran college administrator, counselor, career consultant, and licensed Guidance Counselor in the State of Massachusetts. Committed to helping high school and college students discover their unique place in an ever-changing world, Michele specializes in youth career and college planning, college student development, student athlete advising, and the college to career transition.

She possesses over 20 years of progressive leadership in student affairs at private and public institutions throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Most recently, she developed the career success workshop for the University of Connecticut’s nationally-recognized Mentor Connection, a three-week residential summer program for talented high school students. Michele possesses a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut, a Master of Education from The Pennsylvania State University, and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Counseling from SUNY Oswego.
