Teen Program: Perks of a Wandering Book Group: Eleanor & Park
Jul 10 @ 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Welcome to the first ever The Perks of a Being a Wandering Book Club. Each week for 7 weeks, wander to a new library for a book discussion!

This is a collaborative program that travels from library to library and open to all teens in grades 6-12. This is a great opportunity to meet new teens who love to read, to discuss your favorite books with other fans, or to just get out of the house. You can also participate online at: www.facebook.com/groups/TPBWbookclub

For a full list of titles, participating libraries and dates visit the teen page.

Come discuss Rainbow Rowell’s book Eleanor & Park. Set over the course of one school year in 1986, this is the story of two star-crossed misfits–smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try.

Pick up a copy in the library or place one on hold.

This program is for teens in grades 6-12 and is a part of the summer reading, Spark a Reaction program.  Teens will earn three tickets towards this summer’s grand prize by participating. Sign up for this program in the library or by emailing the teen librarian.
