Gardening is Murder: an evening with author Neal Sanders @ Main Reading Room, Grafton Public Library
Feb 25 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Neal-SandersGrafton Public Library and Grafton Garden Club present an author visit with mystery writer Neal Sanders. His presentation, titled Gardening Is Murder provides a “husband’s point of view” of gardening and is filled with humor and insight from someone who gardens less from an abiding love of horticulture than for the love of a spouse. Good horticultural advice is dispensed, bad advice is debunked. Participants will leave with a better appreciation of what is going on in the mind of their helpmates. The talk is adapted from Neal’s widely read blog, The Principal Undergardener.

The author will sell books, with 10% of the proceeds split between the Grafton Garden Club and Friends of the Grafton Public Library.

In his talk, Neal will divulge why it is impossible to do just one thing in the garden, why so much gardening information on the Internet is awful, why you should never compute the value of your labor in gardening, evidence that the wildlife in your garden have never seen a Disney film, and why it requires digging three holes to plant something.

Bio: Neal Sanders is the author of eight mysteries, several of which use garden club settings, and the voice behind The Principal Undergardener blog, which addresses gardening as a non-gardener who loves gardens. Adaptations of these essays can be found monthly in the Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s Leaflet magazine. Neal served as Chairman of Blooms! at the Boston Flower & Garden Show, where he ran Mass Hort’s activities, including the building of a major landscape exhibit that is the subject of his talk titled Flower Show Confidential.

RSVP to or call 508-839-4649 x1102.

SNOW DATE: Thu Feb 26 at 7pm.

Place a hold on one of Neal’s books!
