Storytime Resumes Week of September 11

Storytimes will be starting the week of September 11!

The session will run the week of September 11th through October 21st. 

REGISTRATION: Please note some storytimes require registration while others are drop-in. Registration opens 2 weeks prior to start date of program.

  • Please register one participant at a time. You must register every child participating. Unregistered children will not be able to participate.
  • Please adhere to age recommendations when registering your child.   If your child is not an appropriate age, they will be removed from the registration list.

Silly Science @ UniBank is a 45 minute storytime program for children ages 3-5 years. Join us for a STEM- themed storytime that features math and science themes.

Registration is required for this program. Register ONLINE or call 508-839-4649 xt 1103. The program will run on Monday mornings 9/11, 9/18, 9/25, 10/2 & 10/16 at 10:15 am. Participants must commit to the entire 5 week session.

Location: UniBank, 89 Worcester St., Grafton

 

Preschool Storytime is a 30-minute program for children ages 3.5-5.  Join us as we share stories, songs, felt board fun, and movement activities.

Registration is required for this program. Register ONLINE or call 508-839-4649 xt 1103. The program will run on Tuesday mornings 9/12, 9/19, 9/26, 10/3, 10/10 & 10/17 at 10:15 am.  Participants must commit to the entire 6 week session.

 

Toddler Time is a 30-minute program for children who are walking-age 3 years.

We will share stories, sing songs, enjoy movement activities, and recite rhymes and finger plays together.

This is a drop-in program; registration is not required. The program will meet on Wednesday mornings at 9:00 am and 10:15 am. Please attend just one time slot. Session dates are 9/13, 9/20, 9/27, 10/4, 10/11 & 10/18.

 

Join us at the Willard House Clock Museum for a special storytime, fun activities, and see a highlighted feature of the Willard House Clock Museum!

Ages 3 and up, siblings welcome. Please register for this program. Register ONLINE or call 508-839-4649 xt 1103.

This program meets once-a-month, second Wednesday of the month. This month’s date is September 13 at 1:30 pm.

Library Babies is a 20-minute program for our very youngest visitors, ages birth-walking. Join us as we read stories, sing songs, recite favorite nursery rhymes, and interact with the babies using bounces and finger plays.

This is a drop-in program; registration is not required. The program will meet on Thursday mornings at 10:15 am. Session dates are 9/14, 9/21, 9/28, 10/5, 10/12 & 10/19.

 

Join us Saturday mornings before the library opens for shorter, repeat showings of our most popular storytimes. 9/16, 9/30 & 10/14 will be Baby & Toddler Storytime, while 9/23, 10/7 & 10/21 will be Preschool Storytime.

This is a drop-in program; registration is not required.

 

The Children’s Room will be CLOSED for the duration of each storytime program. A selection of materials will be available in the Main Reading Room.

Please note our Storytime Policy: If there is no school, storytime programs are cancelled. If there is a half-day of school, morning storytimes are cancelled.

 

PARENTS/CAREGIVERS:

CAN YOUR CHILD BE ALONE AT THE LIBRARY?

Children are always welcome at the library.  However, the library is a public building and very busy on a daily basis.  For the protection and well-being of children, the Grafton Public Library has established an Unattended Child Policy.

Please note that program attendees must also comply with the Library’s Unattended Child Policy:

  • 0-7 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times;
  • 8-12 must be accompanied by parent/guardian remaining in the Library;
  • 13+ may be unaccompanied provided child is able to use Library independently and follow the Library’s Code of Conduct.
  • Children under age 13 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian over the age of 14.

    Just wondering what time the Saturday story times are held? I missed last weekend’s but want to put the others in the calendar – we had a great time this summer!
